This beautiful African cichlid (family Cichlidae) is found in the Lake Tanganyika (Zambia and Mpulungu region). This species might be confused with Tropheus moorii 'ilangi'.

  • Feed several times per day (small amounts)

Tropheus moorii 'mpulungu' is also known by Tropheus sp. 'mpulungu', Tropheus moorii sunset, Tropheus moorii sp. 'lufubu', Tropheus moorii 'muzumwa', Sunspot and Mpulungu.

Below you can find photo and video collection of the Tropheus sp. 'mpulungu' cichlids that my father have kept in the past. I personally have no experience with this species and African species in general. My father have had successful breeding attempts with the colony he cared for.
