Peckoltia compta (L134)

Published / Updated

Information

This gorgeous South American Loricariidae is found in the Rio Tapajos (a major tributary of the Amazon river) downstream at the merge with Rio Jamanxim.

Care tips

  • Soft acidic water
  • Rocks, caves and wood
  • Omnivorous (although favors meaty diet)

Peckoltia compta is also known by L134, Leopard Frog pleco and Dusky worm line peckoltia.

Below you can find photo and video collection of the Peckoltia compta plecos that I have kept. Demonstrating aquarium setups and various other aspects of care. I have tried to realize an ideal biotope and strife for matching habitat. I grow up a small group of 5 species into chunky young adults.
