Care tips
- Prefers lower tank temperatures e.g. 22 celsius
- Can tolerate wide range of water temperatures
- Omnivore
- Once the colony is established wil breed easily
- Good cleaners
Neocaridina davidi (red morph) is also known by Cherry shrimp. Previous classification Neocaridina heteropoda and Neocaridina denticulata sinensis.
I have kept this species for perhaps 10 years or so. They can easily adapt to various conditions. I had a huge colony of at least couple hundred of them. From time to time introducing fresh blood lines. They really prefer planted tanks that has Asia / South America biotope direction.
