Information

This fascinating and not so easy to keep South American Loricariidae is found in the Xingu river, a tributary of the Amazon river.

Care tips

  • Highly oxygenated tank
  • Many caves, holes and rocks
  • Good water movement
  • High temperatures is preferred
  • Mainly carnivore eater
  • Sand preferred
  • Wood (small amount)

Hypancistrus zebra is also known by L046, L46, L098, Imperial pleco, and Zebra pleco.
