The stunning Baryancistrus xanthellus pleco is a South American Loricariidae that is found in Rio Xingu, Brazil. They are similar to Baryancistrus sp. cf. xanthellus (L081).

Care tips

  • Needs higher temperatures (>27℃)
  • Omnivore
  • High metabolic rate (feed several times per day)
  • Often malnourished (careful planning needed)
  • High water current

Baryancistrus xanthellus is also known by Baryancistrus sp., Gold nugget pleco, L018, L085, L177 and LDA060.
